I believe we all have free will, with the power to initiate change and cope with whatever life brings in a positive manner. We are often met with challenges, choices and obstacles on our journey through life but these help us learn, grow and move on to better places.

Both Astrology and Tarot Cards are tools meant to help us help ourselves. They will not make our choices for us or reveal exactly what will happen.

Tarot Card Readings provide a “spiritual check-up” in which we can gain clarity in our present situation, enabling us to be a healthier guide to ourselves.

Astrology provides insight into our whole character, talents and limitations, revealing our motivations and power. Astrological forecasts help us see the overall picture, the trends, personal phases and circumstances we are likely to encounter and how best to deal with the challenges and take advantage of the opportunities.

Both of these tools are meant to empower us spiritually and offer “food for thought”. In all my readings, I strive to provide practical, down-to-earth assistance in a warm, supportive atmosphere.

I am a professionally trained and certified astrologer (Faculty of Astrological Studies, England). I offer my clients a practical reading of their (or their child's) birth chart in plain language. Every birth chart analysis includes an overview of the outer personality, intellect, and emotions. As well, I offer insight into possible career paths and the individual relationships with other family members. I spend between 15 and 20 hours working on an Analysis or Forecast to be sure my interpretation is thorough.

BIRTH CHART ANALYSIS

A Birth Chart Analysis is a “life-long” tool because it provides an overview of your entire character, giving a clear indication of your talents and limitations. A Birth Chart Analysis provides the Astrological location of all planets and angles and describes (in plain language) the way these forces are working together as a cohesive unit. This Analysis is a tool you can work with throughout your life since it presents the whole of your character with all its beauties and challenges. A Birth Chart Analysis also includes a Mini Forecast, providing a quick look at your present circumstances and an idea of what an Astrological Forecast is like.

In a Child’s Birth Chart Analysis, while the Astrological location of all planets and angles are given, I provide information pertinent to the caregivers as well as enough information to be of use to the child in their early adult years. A Child’s Birth Chart Analysis is meant to be used as a tool to assist in the rearing and understanding of a child.

90 Minute Verbal Reading, providing a broad overview of your Astrological Forecast combined with a Three-Card Tarot Reading.

The Astrology/Tarot Consult is a forecast providing a one-year summary of the impact of transiting outer planets on your Birth Chart, indicating their effect on you as an individual and how to best travel the year ahead. A short month-by-month description is also provided to understand how these forces are working as a unit. The Three-Card Tarot Reading at the end of this forecast brings you back to the present by providing immediate tools in the here and now. Please note this Consult does not provide any Analysis of your Birth Chart beyond what you may need to know for the year at hand.

Astrological Forecasts will help you navigate the time frame covered by providing an idea of the changes being provoked within you by the events happening around you.

A Six Month In-Depth Forecast is to be used in conjunction with a Birth Chart Analysis so you should have a complete Analysis of your Birth Chart (done by either myself or someone else) before having this completed. An In-Depth Forecast looks at the way you have grown and matured as an individual (using Progressions) as well as the impact of surrounding forces (using Transits). An overview of the planetary placements as well as a month-by-month description of their impact are provided.

A Compatibility Profile compares two Birth Charts through direct inter-aspects (how the planets and angles of one chart affect the other and vice versa) and through use of a Composite Chart (a single Chart formed by two Birth Charts using mid-points). This provides an overview on the general functioning of the relationship, highlighting areas that may need to be developed and worked on as well as enjoyed.

CHART RELOCATION ANALYSIS, SOLAR RETURN CHART AND CHILD CHART UPDATE
(available upon request.)

A Chart Relocation Analysis recasts your original Birth Chart based on where you happen to be living (since many of us move away from our place of birth) and is best used in conjunction with a Birth Chart Analysis. A Chart Relocation Analysis will indicate how moving to a particular place alters and enhances your character. This Analysis can also indicate what you’re meant to learn and experience from being in a particular location.

A Solar Return Chart is a Chart cast for the exact the degree and minute the Sun returns to the point occupied in an individual’s Birth Chart (usually the birthday). This Chart is then used as a tool to forecast trends and anticipate probable events in the year ahead for that individual.

A Child Chart Update is available to those caregivers who have had their Child’s Birth Chart analyzed and now face the important adolescent years. A Child Chart Update focuses on how certain planets and aspects may operate in the adolescent years and also provides a summary Astrological Forecast of significant time frames during the teen years.

For accurate readings, the correct time, date and place of birth are essential.

I have been reading Tarot Cards for over 25 years. I approach Tarot Card reading as a tool to gain clarity and guide us in making choices. Since we all have free will, Tarot Card readings are projections into the future and an illumination of our motivations.

It’s important to note a Tarot Card Reading presents insight into your situation and what you can do about it and cannot provide information about other people and their particular journey. It is meant to help you on your journey.

A Regular Tarot Card Reading uses the 10-card Celtic Cross layout to give an in-depth picture of your current circumstances and how you may be operating within it. The Reading goes into the past, present as well as the future and how other people may be affecting your situation. This reading will give you an idea of your spiritual journey and lessons you may be learning during the process, as well as assistance with the circumstances at hand.

A Three-Card Tarot Reading provides a “message for the moment” into your present situation by looking at where you’ve been, where you’re at now and where you seem to be headed. This basic reading offers food-for-thought and clarity in your immediate circumstances.

History

How and why I came into this business has been a journey spanning most of my life. Rather than thinking of what I do as a gift, I prefer to view it as a calling because I personally believe we are all psychic, just using our skills in different ways. I believe anyone can learn how to analyze an astrological chart or read cards but dedication to the study is required. I still regard myself as a student of astrology although I’ve been studying it since 1977 because the subject is so vast and complex.

My short answer to how I became an astrologer and a Tarot Card reader is that “I came this way” because the interest has always been a part of who I am. While I did not come from a family with a history in this field, I did have a lot of freedom to explore and was never deterred from learning what I could.

When I first heard about Astrology, I was about six years old and was immediately fascinated. This interest never waned and I began studying and reading books about Astrology at the age of 12. My studies naturally brought me to palmistry, numerology, runes, cards, dice and other divination tools. While I dabbled in all of these, I was drawn to reading playing cards because they were so accessible and even had the pluck to make up my own meanings for playing cards when I was 13! This sort of experimentation continued as I explored other types of decks. I received my first Tarot deck on my 18th birthday and began reading for family and friends.

In 1985, when I was 20, I took a course in Astrology offered in Ottawa by a graduate of The Faculty of Astrological Studies in England. This led me to enrol in the school myself the following year and complete my Certificate in Astrological Studies in May 1987. Over the next 7 years, I did charts for many family and friends while continuing to study with The Faculty and on my own. My eventual object was to start a business in Astrology but marriage, moves, children and houses got in the way for a few years. Tarot Cards also continued to be part of my life during this time as I continued to read for friends and myself.

When I began a family of my own, I could really see the value in looking at the charts of children as a tool to help parents understand these creatures who had entered their lives. I saw in Astrology the “manual” most parents wish their children came with. As well, it became important to me to stay at home with my children and I felt a business in Astrology had potential.

The name for my business “Little Star Astrological Services” came from the idea of doing primarily children’s charts but once I started up it became apparent there was a lot of interest in doing all kinds of astrological services! Introducing Tarot Card readings as part of my business occurred because two months into starting up I was doing a business show and the idea of just sitting at a table with my charts displayed doing “nothing” bothered me. So I decided to offer card readings. The response was overwhelming and Tarot Card reading now represents a solid half of my business and often serves as an introduction to people also interested in getting their chart done.
